You are correct on all fronts. I read those awful comments. And was offended for you. But 2 days later, I had forgotten all about them. I also know that it's risky to put myself out there. (More than I already am.) And I know that putting in the work as a self-published author can net you more than a book deal. If you're not afraid to pound the pavement.

If people are leaving hate, I like to try to name 5 comments I read recently on social media.I can never do it. Everyone forgets everything so fast.

Thanks for this piece, Cory. I’m starting to see that a fear of being seen may be what’s held me back in many of my endeavors. The ability to handle criticisms and hate at scale as you grow… Got me thinking! 🤔

Fear of being seen is real. At some point, you just have to let what others think and say about you go. It's a work in progress. Best of luck to you!

This inspires me to get even bolder and keep posting - I just need to remove my dunce cap, pop a philosophical xæñæx and keep doing it. Im looking forward to learning more from you Cory 🤍 #IconBehavior

This is very inspirational!

I've sold over 100,000 books (for real) but through using email marketing (MailChimp, Systeme.io, and collaborating with other authors in my genre via BookFunnels--I write fiction.

I'm venturing into Substack because I like the email part of it and "owning" your list versus renting it via other social media platforms.

Thanks for this post and all your other helpful feedback.
